What a hidden gem of a steak house. Put this on your list of great restaurants in Bay City Michigan. My steak was delicious and tender and juicy. Service was excellent .

The Gatsby is an absolute gem—an unexpected paradise for vegans and vegetarians! I was genuinely surprised (in the best way) by how many plant-based options were available, and everything looked amazing. I had the vegan gyro, and it was absolutely fabulous—bursting with flavor and perfectly crafted. Note that the vegan dishes are located in the middle of the menu on its own narrow page, I had almost overlooked it! The ambiance is just as impressive, with a cool speakeasy vibe that makes the whole experience feel special and unique. And I have to give a special shoutout to my waitress, Erica—she was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for a great meal in a stylish setting, The Gatsby is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Birthday dinner on a Tuesday night 6pm was seated right away. Waitress brought drinks out promptly and kept our glasses refilled without having to ask. Ordered the salmon vegetables and sweet potato fries, grilled chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, and a Philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries. Portions were perfect, did not wait long for food to come out. Flavors were delicious! Had an extensive menu. Loved the whole page of vegan options. Will be back again. Great experience, great atmosphere, great food!

The food was amazing!!! I got the salmon and my partner got a cheesesteak. It was all seasoned and cooked extremely well. The service was good and the outdoor seating area had a nice ambiance. Reasonably priced for what it is.

Lovely themed restaurant. We ordered their stuffed butterfly shrimp appetizer as well as 2 different steaks, the ribeye & sirloin. Sides were mashed potatoes & gravy and sweet potato fries with side salads. All of the food was very good. Our visit was at a weekday lunchtime and it wasn't terribly busy. Pricing is comparable to other steakhouses. We didn't order any beverages from the bar, just soft drinks. And, a plus, the noise level was so much softer than these large chain restaurants where you can't even hear yourself think. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Feels like you are part of an interesting time. Food was delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere - if you enjoyed The Great Gatsby, then it is a must visit! Sweet potatoe fries were amazing. They make them on site as well as the potatoe chips. The Works burger was delicious.

Fantastic food. Good atmosphere, loves the music and overall vibes. I had the 7oz fillet mignon with a side of fries, it was perfect after a long day on the town and I was able to finish it in one sitting. Their drinks are also phenomenal! Not too strong but still enough to get a slight buzz (drink responsibility please). The Milky Way was by far my favorite.

I don’t often give 5 stars across all categories (food, service, atmosphere) but Gatsby’s is that and more. We were in town with friends and did not have reservations but were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. The food was exceptional, as was the bar staff. We will make a special trip back to Bay City to eat here again. Yum!!
